Pre-Register to Vote Today!
The last day to register to vote before Election Day is October 16. It has never been easier to do so. Just visit www.mnvotes.org and click on Register to Vote. All you need is your driver’s license number or social security number.
If you miss the deadline to pre-register, you are also allowed to register on Election Day, but it will take a lot longer. We are expecting a big turnout and traditionally, 10-20% of voters register that day. Remember you will need to re-register if you have not voted in over four years, have moved since the last time you voted or have changed your name (gotten married or divorced).
To make it as easy as possible please bring a current photo ID if possible with your current address on it. Otherwise you can use another type of photo ID (e.g. passport, old driver’s license, tribal ID or student ID) with a proof of residence with current address (e.g. recent utility bill, phone or TV bill, credit card bill, mortgage statement, etc.) These can be a hard copy or shown on your phone. Property Tax statements will not work.
If none of these options work, you can also bring another registered Canosia voter who can vouch that you live within the precinct.
Please do not hesitate to contact the township, county or Secretary of State’s office with any questions.
