Open Town Treasurer Position
OPEN POSITION: The Town of Canosia is hiring a part-time Town Treasurer. The position is 10-15hr/month and the pay rate is $25/hr and $110/meeting. This position coordinates and administers all financial activities of the Township to assure that the Township receives timely accounting services that response to identified community goals. Position Description
- Performs a variety of bookkeeping and accounting work to maintain the financial records of the township using CTAS
- Analyzes, prepares, and reconciles financial statements and reports. Prepares journal entries. Develops and improves work methods as required
- Reviews a variety of accounting related documentation, such as cash receipts, disbursements and receivables, and cash reconciliations to assure compliance with Township directions, policies, and procedures
- Prepares monthly billings for vendors for Town Board approval
- Prepares findings and reports to the Town Board
- Reviews and seeks resolutions to problems associated with Township issues, such as employee or liability insurance or public inquires, which require Township response
- Prepares and furnishes responses to inquiries specific, detailed information about the financial affairs of the Township
