March Election Results: Kurt Brooks was elected to serve another three-year term on the Canosia Town Board. 138 votes were cast with the following results:

• Kurt Brooks = 107
• Jim Gilmore = 16
• Chris Verhel = 13 (write-in)
• Hillary Creurer = 2 (write-in)

The residents at the Annual Meeting voted for the following tax levy amounts for 2019:

• General Fund = $117,200
• Fire Dept. = $82,000
• Road & Bridge = $98,000

As a result the township tax levy will remain at $297,200 as it has been for the past several years. The approved amounts were the same as the amounts recommended by the town board.
