AUGUST 13, 2024 PRIMARY ELECTION REMINDER
Residents are encouraged to vote in the Primary Election on August 13, 2024. This election narrows down the federal (excluding presidential position) and state party positions. Voters who participate will choose one party to vote on (Democrat or Republican) and will then vote on the candidates within their chosen party. Voters cannot vote cross party. (You will be able to at the November General Election.) The August Primary Election is to narrow down the candidates for each party.
The polling station is the Canosia Town Hall (4896 Midway Road) and the polls will be open from 7:00am until 8:00pm.
Please be aware that voters will need to enter in the side door of the town hall facing the parking lot. No political (candidate nor slogan) apparel, materials, etc are permitted within 100ft of the townhall. The facility also prohibits guns/weapons. Lastly, please be kind to the election judges. They have spent months in trainings, have already overseen two elections this year, and are working 12+hr shifts in order to make sure that your vote counts. They are phenomenal humans and a smile given goes a long way in making their election day a bit better. 🙂
